For months there has been speculation and rumors. As recent as a few days ago, there were very reliable rumors, but I didn't want to get my hopes up until we heard it from the Lorne's mouth, and now we have.NBC confirmed today that 88-year-old actress-extraordinaire Betty White will host Saturday Night Live's May 8th show. SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels says he can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day weekend than with Betty White.
The announcement followed a campaign on Facebook urging the sketch show to make Betty a host. The group attracted nearly a half-million supporters (including Celebrity Extra!).
